A Lung Cancer Study from Clifford Hospital has Won Recognition of European Lung Cancer Conference (ELCC) 2017

From May 5 to 8, ELCC (European Lung Cancer Conference) was successfully convened in Geneva, Switzerland. More than 4,000 thoracic oncology specialists from 83 countries and regions took part in this big conference. More than 3,000 academic papers were submitted to ELCC and 170 papers were selected to exchange, among which there are 17 papers from Mainland China. A paper from Clifford Hospital about high dose intravenous ascorbic acid synergy with mEHT in patients with advanced stage lung cancer was selected. The first author Prof. Ou Junwen was invited to this conference. 

The European Lung Cancer Conference is a collaborative effort of the most important multidisciplinary societies representing thoracic oncology specialists, all working towards a shared goal: to advance science, disseminate education and improve the practice of lung cancer specialists worldwide.

This paper from Clifford Hospital medical scientific reseach team, collaboratively studied by Prof. Ou Junwen, oncology dept. and hyperthemia dept. aroused other specialists’ interest and attention in the conference. Besides, the abstract has been included in Annuals of Oncology.

Title of this study is A phase I-II clinical trial to evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and efficacy of high dose intravenous ascorbic acid synergy with mEHT in Chinese patients with stage III-IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.





Clifford Hospital is the first Chinese hospital accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), and has passed 5 times of JCI accreditation.
