From May 21st to 22nd, 2011, the Inaugural Meeting of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies – Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy (WFCMS-SCNT) and 1st International Academic Conference on Natural Medicine was held in Guangzhou Guangdong. Over 400 specialists from China, America, Russia, Germany, Japan, Canada, Australia, Israel, Hungary, India, Ghana, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended the meeting. Dr. Clifford L. K. Pang was elected as the first president of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies-Specialty Committee of Natural Therapy (WFCMS-SCNT).
During the conference, well known experts from all over the world shared academic reports on their specialty in natural therapy, current findings, theories and new technologies of 20 related subjects. They include Chinese civilian natural therapies, abdominal acupuncture, bee sting therapy, medical Qigong, Yoga, vitamin therapy, chelation, hyperthermia, medical ozone therapy, fasting therapy, African herbs, music therapy, and coffee enema therapy. In addition, 11 natural therapies such as whole body hyperthermia, local hyperthermia, Lin’s acupressure therapy, bee sting therapy, and medical thread therapy were demonstrated.
The conference was hosted jointly by World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies – Specialty Committee and Clifford Hospital. The objective is to promote international academic communication and international exchange on the development of Natural Therapy. The conference encourages the application of Natural Therapy to improve and broaden its technology, theory and practice.
